Web Essentials at BarCamp Phnom Penh
The Web Essentials' debut booth at the third BarCamp last weekend on 25th and 26th September was definitely crowded the whole time. A new company on the market place combined with a lucky draw, friendly staff, a freshly printed company brochure and stickers (that were put on almost all the visitors) definitely drew the attention of many people.
Some of our staff had the opportunity to be involved in presentations: Visay and Boeun presented their current work project: Translating TYPO3 into Khmer language. As Web Essentials is focusing primarily on the CMS TYPO3 while creating websites, we are also interested in making it accessible to a broader public in Cambodia. Sophy held a talk about PHP Programming and Dominik participated in a panel discussion about “How to start an IT business”. He encouraged future entrepreneurs to focus on a selection of specific services and to excel in providing these services at a high level rather than providing a wide range of services at a lower quality.
This is what Web Essentials is all about: Providing the essentials in Web programming at a high quality and for a good price.
