Web Essentials Close to 40 Staff
Web Essentials is growing steadily. In the last few months, our HR assistants were busy with welcoming new people.
In February 2011, Mary Hui joined Web Essentials as a Process Analyst. Mary, a New Yorker, has a degree in Physics and Astronomy and holds a MA in Science Education. She has worked as an analyst for a major US company before joining a social investment firm in Cambodia. Now at Web Essentials, she works closely with Dominik to improve the business processes and makes sure the projects are highly efficient.
Beginning of May, Piseth Sok joined the Web Department and currently works on his first TYPO3 extension. He is also studying IT at the University and will graduate soon.
Also in May, Daniel Heitz, from Germany, joined Web Essentials. He is the co-owner of /gebrüderheitz GbR, one of Web Essentials partner companies in Germany. He has vast experiences as a Graphic Designer and also works as an independent Photo-Designer. Daniel decided to come to Cambodia and devote some of his time to our design department. He provides professional input and advice and takes our team to new heights.
On the same day, 18 May 2011, both Michelle Lyon and Sothy Chhay joined the Web Essentials Web Department.
Michelle, coming from Australia, joined as a Programming Advisor. She was able to take leave for a period of two months and now works alongside the Web Essentials web developers. Michelle is an experienced programmer and project manager as well as a scrum master. She is involved in a client project where she has also introduced new agile project management methods: canban and scrum.
Sothy holds a diploma of Engineer in Computer and Communication and has work experience in project management. She is fluent in both English and French. In her new role as Project Manager, she has already taken on her first project for a Swiss client.
A warm welcome to all of them and thanks for joining Web Essentials!
